In the 1990's, while living in the foothills of Amador County, Chris was spotted playing jazz
standards at a local restaurant and was recruited by a longstanding classic rock cover band,
the MOTSS Bros. Band. Chris soon established himself as one of the driving forces behind
the successful MOTSS Bros. Band and performed everywhere from the Hard Rock Cafe at
Harvey's in Lake Tahoe, to County fairs and festivals, to private golf clubs in Marin County. The
success of the MOTSS Bros. kept Chris busy for over 10 years, and financed his bachelors
degree from Cal State, Sacramento, and his law degree from UOP, McGeorge School of Law.

Chris McCandless
Chris has been performing ever since he was a child staging magic shows in his
parents living room. Chris began playing and studying guitar and piano as a
teenager and went on to study commercial music and jazz in Vancouver, Canada
in the late 1980's. Chris has played in various venues throughout Northern
California and Nevada, performed in award winning musical theater productions,
and collaborated with soulful recording artist, Dan Colvin.

In 2003 it was time for Chris to move on to a bigger and better musical
collaboration. Chris is a founding member of Radio Active, playing and
programing keyboards, playing guitar, and singing. Chris continuously strives
to bring together diverse musicians with extensive experience and abilities for
the high energy show that now is - Radio Active. Chris contributes a wide
range and diverse vocal style to the group, singing everything from Prince to
Springsteen, from Nelly to ACDC, all while simultaneously shredding on the
